2017 Ford Ecosport Facelift Ready To Be Unveiled On November 9

American automaker Ford is all set to launch the updated version of the Ecosport on November 9, 2017 in India. The car will come with a fresh face along with some added features. The highlight of the new model will be the newly added powertain.

The exterior of the new EcoSport gets major updates to its front fascia with a hexagonal grille and sharp, angular Headlamps   giving it a feel of Mustang and Endeavour. The redesigned front bumper, fog lamps also adds to the overall appeal along with the 17-inch alloy wheels (available in the range topping variant, Titanium+).

While the profile of the new model is more or less same as the outgoing model, Ford will offer more colour options for this car. Inside, the dash layout is almost the same, but the centre console gets a new design and comes with company’s SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new instrument cluster and steering wheel.

The 2017 EcoSport comes with cruise control, a speed-limiter function, a rear-view camera, automatic wipers and climate control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, dual USB ports, steering-mounted audio and trip controls while the automatic variant gets paddle shifters as well.

As safety measures, Ford’s range-topping variant gets six airbags and ABS with EBD, along with electronic stability control, hill-launch assist, traction control and emergency brake assist for the automatic trim.

Ford’s all-new Dragon series of petrol engines will also make its Indian debut in the updated Ecosport. The car comes with an all-new 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that cranks out 121bhp and 150Nm of top torque. The new dragon series would come paired to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the diesel variant would support the same 1.5-litre diesel engine that belts out 99bhp of maximum power and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. In the Indian market, EcoSport facelift will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon and etc.
