India England Tour: Alex Hales Impeccable Run Chase Squares The Series

Alex Hales with his impeccable performance on Friday leveled the three T20 International match series in a hand biting encounter between India and England in Cardiff.


India had set the target of 149 runs to win against the strong batting line-up of England on their home turf. Virat Kohli had scored highest 47 runs.

England's top order Jos Buttler and Jason Roy were dismissed early by Umesh Yadav. Both of the batsmen were not able to give a good start but Hales kept England in the game.

Alex Hales had struggled in the first match against Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav who took five wickets for 24 runs in the first match.

Alex Hales had scored 58 runs in just 41 balls and was the last hope for England to win for them to save the series and he did the same in style by hitting 12 runs in the final over of death balling specialist Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Liam Plunkett and David Willey bowled really well to restrict the Indian side at a score of 148 runs. Both of them took one wicket each at an economy 4.25 and 4.50.

It was a crucial match for England to save the series as Indian team was ahead by winning the open match by 8 wickets. In that match, KL Rahul scored unbeaten 100 runs in 53 balls.
