Pakistan emerged champions on Sunday, beating Australia by 6 wickets in the T20I tri-series final held at Harare sports club. The tri-series included the host Zimbabwe, Australia and Pakistan.

It was opener Fakhar Zaman, who took the men in green home, as he smashed his career-best 91 runs off 46 balls. This was Pakistan's highest successful run chase in T20I.

Australian captain Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to bat on the solid flat batting turf. Australia managed to finish at 183 for the loss of 8 wickets.

Credits to opener D'Arcy Short who scored 76 runs from 53 balls and skipper Aaron Finch scored a quick fire of 47 runs off 27 balls. Pakistan bowled well at the death, restricting Australian side to 183, when at one stage, 200 seemed likely.

Pakistan looked in trouble when Maxwell took 2 wickets in the 1st over itself, and after a little fightback lost the skipper Sarfraz Khan, Pakistan's score after 5.2 overs lies at 3 for 47.

Fakhar took the responsibility and smashed the bowlers all around the park in his innings of 91, hitting 12 fours and 3 sixes. Fakhar and Malik both build up a terrific 107 run partnership and completely shifted the momentum towards the World No.1 T20 side.

Pakistan won the game with 4 balls to spare, registering their 9th consecutive series win.
