Following the presence of Walid Abu Ali - Palestine's ambassador to Pakistan in Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed's Rawalpindi rally, the nation has expressed "deep regrets" over the act while calling it "unacceptable". The authorities have also recalled the representative keeping his association with the global terrorist in mind.

The Palestinian authorities have condemned their ambassador's association with the UN-recognised global terrorist and have recalled Walid Abu Ali after assuring India of taking serious actions against the presence of their representative at the reported event.

Foreign ministry on Saturday stated, "The Palestinian side has conveyed deep regrets over the incident and assured the Government of India that they are taking serious cognizance of their Ambassador's presence at this event."

The statement added, "They have said they will deal with this matter appropriately." Palestinian Ambassador to India also expressed, "What he did was not acceptable to our government. Palestine supports India on its fight against terror."

The presence of a Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan on stage with the JuD chief Hafiz Saeed left the Indians miffed. Following the act,  India has announced of taking the act "strongly". India issued a demarche to the Palestinian government and reminded the authorities of Saeed's terrorist background.

"Government of India has strongly conveyed to the Palestinian side that the Palestinian Ambassador in Pakistan's association with terrorist Hafiz Saeed, who is prescribed by the United Nations, at an event in Rawalpindi on 29.12.2017, is unacceptable," the statement read.

The development came as a backstabbing act after India voted in favour of a UN resolution to denounce Washington's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.

Reports suggest that the meeting which took place on Friday in the presence of UN-recognised global terrorist Hafiz Saeed dealt with the matter of pressurising Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to call for an Islamic Summit Conference against the transfer of Israeli capital to Jerusalem.

India was left "surprised and shocked" at the presence of Palestinian envoy in the rally as it indirectly lends credibility to the terrorist leader who has a bounty on his head for arranging multiple attacks on India and involvement in terrorist activities.
